تدريب مشترك في مرجعيون لليونيفيل والجيش لمكافحة الشغب

نظمت قيادة القطاع الشرقي لليونيفيل تدريبا مشتركا لمكافحة الشغب والإضطرابات في مركز الأمم المتحدة في مرجعيون لخمسة أيام.

ويأتي هذا العمل في إطار الأنشطة المختلفة التي تقوم بها "وحدات اليونيفيل" بالتعاون مع الجيش اللبناني لتعزيز الثقة المتبادلة وتحسين مستوى التفاهم.

وأشار بيان لليونيفيل الى ان "الجيش اللبناني هو الشريك الإستراتيجي لليونيفيل، إذ تساهم هذه الشراكة في تحقيق الإستقرار، لذلك فإن كل أنشطة اليونيفيل تقوم بالتعاون والتنسيق الوثيق مع الجيش اللبناني.

وشارك في هذا النشاط المشترك 26 مشاركا من الجيش اللبناني والكتيبة الهندية والإندونيسية والنيبالية والإسبانية، وركز على مختلف الجوانب النظرية والعملية في التعامل مع العوامل المختلفة التي تسبب حدوث تظاهر جماعي. وتبادل المشاركون خبراتهم ومهاراتهم المهنية، وقام جنود حفظة السلام في القطاع الشرقي جنبا إلى جنب مع المشاركين من الجيش اللبناني، بالتطرق الى معظم الجوانب النظرية والعملية المتعلقة بمكافحة الشغب والإضطرابات مثل تقنيات التطويق والإجراءات المتبعة في حال القبض على مثيري الشغب والتعامل مع حالات وقوع الإصابات في صفوف المتظاهرين.

وتشكل الأنشطة المشتركة بين "اليونيفيل" والجيش اللبناني منبرا جيدا لتبادل الأفكار وتقديم فرصة ممتازة للتعلم من الخبرات المتبادلة. وهذا النشاط المشترك مفيد جدا لكل جندي اذا تظاهرت أي مجموعة يشارك فيها عناصر تحاول إثارة للشغب".

وفي الحفل الختامي، تمت تهنئة المشاركين على إتمامهم التدريب المشترك بنجاح، ما يساهم في بناء علاقات أقوى وتحسين التنسيق بين الجيش اللبناني و"اليونيفيل".


UNIFIL SECEAST SHARES JOINT CROWD AND RIOT CONTROL TRAINING WITH LEBANESE ARMED FORCES AT MARJAYOUN’S BASE

1. UNIFIL’s Sector East Headquarters has organized a Joint Crowd and Riot Control Training at UN Position in Marjayoun for five days. It is framed among the different activities that UNIFIL units are developing with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in order to foster mutual confidence and improve the level of understanding.

2. The Lebanese Army is the strategic partner of UNIFIL and this partnership has contributed for stabilising the situation on the ground. All UNIFIL’s activities are carried out in close cooperation and coordination with the Lebanese Army.

3. This joint training was attended by 26 Lebanese and Indian, Indonesian, Nepalese and Spanish UNIFIL soldiers in total. It was focused on different theoretical and practical aspects on the handling of different factors causing occurrence of a group demonstration. Participants were sharing their professional skills and varied experience in their different countries. SECEAST peacekeepers along with Lebanese soldiers together covered a wide number of theoretical and practical other aspects of crowd and riot control such as technics in cordoning and practicing procedures in case of contact or to catch agitators and casualty demonstrators.

4. Shared activities among UNFIL countries and LAF provide a good platform to mutually exchange the ideas and offer a very good opportunity to learn mutual experiences. This specific activity, crowd and riot control training, is useful for every soldier in case of any uncontrolled agitating demonstrating group trying for riots. During the closing ceremony participants were congratulated for successful completion of mutual training which contributes to build stronger relationships and better coordination between LAF and UNIFIL.
