نشاط مشترك حول حماية الشخصيات المهمّة بين اليونيفيل و الجيش اللبناني


نظّم القطاع الشرقي في اليونيفيل نشاط مشترك في ما يخص حماية الشخصيات المهمّة في موقع مرجعيون لمدة خمسة ايام. تأتي هذا النشاط في إطار النشاطات المختلفة التّي تنفّذها وحدات اليونيفيل مع الجيش اللبناني بهدف تعزيز الثّقة المتبادلة و رفع مستوى التفاهم.

حضر هذا النّشاط 27 عنصراً من الجيش اللبناني و اليونيفيل. تمّ التركيز على الجانبين النظري و التطبيقي لحماية الشخصيات المهمة، استناداً الى المهارات الاحترافية و الخبرات المتعددة للمدربين. إن عناصر حفظ السلام من الجنسيات الهندية و الاندونسية و النبالية و الاسبانية من القطاع الشرقي بالاضافة الى عناصر من الجيش اللبناني قد تطرّؤا الى عدد كبير من الجوانب النظرية و العملانية لتنظيم الحماية و الحماية عن قرب و التّقنيات المتعلقة بالآليات وحالات المراقبة المعاكسة و تحليل الوضع الحقيقي.

أقيم اليوم حفل اختتام للنشاط في قاعدة اليونيفيل ميغيل دي سيرفانتس في مرجعيون، بحضور نائب قائد القطاع الشرقي العقيد بريبادي جاتامكو وقائد الكتيبة الخامسة والسبعون في الجيش اللبناني العقيد شربل مهنا ، بالإضافة الى جميع المشاركين بالنشاط. أشار العقيد جاتامكو في كلمته ان هذا النشاط له فائدة كبيرة في تعلّم و تحديث المعلومات و التّقنيات لحماية الشخصيات، كما انها مناسبة جيّدة لتبادل الخبرات والأساليب بين المشاركين. و هنّأ جميع الحاضرين بإتمام النشاط بنجاح و أضاف ان هذا الأخير يؤدي الى بناء علاقات امتن و تعاون افضل بين الجيش اللبناني و اليونيفيل.

بالنّسبة الى حماية الشخصيات، كان هذا النشاط مناسبة جيدة لمراجعة المعلومات في هذا الخصوص و لتبادل الخبرات.

إنّ الجيش اللبناني هو شريك استراتيجي لليونيفيل و هذه الشراكة تساهم باستقرار الوضع على الارض. إن نشاطات اليونيفيل تنفّذ بتعاون وطيد مع الجيش اللبناني وفقاً لقرار الأمم المتحدة 1701.

UNIFIL SECEAST SHARES VIP PROTECTION JOINT TRAINING WITH LEBANESE ARMED FORCES AT MARJAYOUN’S BASE

1. UNIFIL’s Sector East (SECEAST) has organized a joint training on VIP protection at UN Position in Marjayoun for five days. It is framed among the different activities that UNIFIL units are developing with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in order to foster mutual confidence and improve the level of understanding.

2. This joint training was attended by 27 Lebanese and UNIFIL soldiers. It was focused on different theoretical and practical aspects on the protection and safe guarding VIP based on professional skills and varied experience of the trainers. Indian, Indonesian, Nepalese and Spanish SECEAST peacekeepers beside Lebanese soldiers too covered a wide number of other theoretical and practical aspects of protection planning, close protection foot and vehicle techniques, counter surveillance special situations and analysis of real situation.

3. A closing ceremony was organized today at UN Position Base Miguel de Cervantes in Marjayoun. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commander SECEAST Colonel Pribadi Jatamko and 75th Battalion LAF Commanding Officer Colonel Charbel Mhanna along with all the participants. Colonel Jatamko in his speech said that this course is very useful for learning and refreshing the knowledge and techniques of VIP protection at the same time that is a good platform to exchange experiences and procedures among the attendees. He congratulated all the participants for successful completion of training and added that this training will build stronger relationships and better coordination between LAF and UNIFIL.

4. According to personals attending, the training has provided them a good platform to revise on this subject and shared mutual experiences.

5. The Lebanese army is the strategic partner of UNIFIL and this partnership contributes to stabilise the situation on the ground. UNIFIL’s activities are carried out in close cooperation and coordination with the Lebanese Army in accordance to UNSCR 1701.
