وصلت وزير خارجية إندونيسيا السيدة ريتنو مارسودي الى لبنان في جولة لها لمدة يومين وذلك بهدف تعزيز العلاقات بين البلدين. رافق الوزيرة سفير إندونيسيا في لبنان السيد أحمد شوزين وممثل من دائرة عمليات حفظ السلام في نيويورك العميد الركن فولاد.

زار الوفد الكتيبة الإندونيسية العاملة في القطاع الشرقي لليونيفيل في موقعها في عدشيت القصير حيث تم الترحيب به من قبل حفظة السلام الإندونسيين من خلال برنامج ثقافي أقيم بالمناسبة. وقد توجّهت الوزيرة بكلمة لحفظة السلام والفعاليات اللبنانية والجيش اللبناني.

كذلك حضر المناسبة قائمقام مرجعيون ورؤساء بلديات ومخاتير من المنطقة. وقد أكّدت الوزيرة في كلمتها على التزام بلادها تجاه السلام مشيرة الى استمرار دعم بلادها للسلام والإستقرار في لبنان. كذلك أثنت على مشاركة المرأة في عملية حفظ السلام لما لها من أهمية في إبراز الوجه الإنساني للدور العسكري.

أختتم الحفل برقصة لبنانية كعربون إحترام لوزيرة الخارجية.

INDONESIAN FOREIGN MINISTER HER EXCELLENCY RETNO L.P MARSUDI VISTS LEBANON AND ASSURES FULL COMMITMENT TO THE CAUSE OF PEACE IN LEBANON

The Foreign Minister of Indonesia, Her Excellency Retno L.P. Marsudi, arrived to Lebanon as part of a two day visit to enhance the relations between the two countries. The Foreign Minister was accompanied by the Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon, His Excellency AchmadChozin, and the representative from Department of Peace keeping Operations New York, Brigadier General Fulad.

The delegation visited the Indonesian Battalion in UNIFIL Sector East in Aadchit al Qsayr where they were greeted by a cultural program by the Indonesian peacekeepers. The Foreign Minister addressed the peacekeepers and the various dignitaries from municipal authorities and LAF.

The KaemMakam of Marjayoun and various Mayors and Mukhtars of the area also graced the event with their presence. In her speech Her Excellency RetnoMarsudi spoke about the commitment of Indonesia as a nation towards long lasting peace , she also said “Indonesia will always support the development of Lebanon and will work towards the peace in Lebanon.” Her excellency also commended the role of women peace keepers and their importance in providing a humane face to the role of military.

The visit ended with a cultural Lebanese dance as a token of respect to the foreign minister.
