في ساحة «دون كيشوت» في قاعدة «ميغيل دي سرفانتس»، أُقيم احتفال عسكري لتقليد اوسمة بعثة اليونيفيل (ميدال باراد) إلى الفرقة التاسعة والعشرين من اللواء الإسباني العامل ضمن قوات اليونيفيل في لبنان وأفراد من الوحدات الصربية والسلفادورية والبرازيلية. في الوقت نفسه احتفل اعضاء الكتيبة الاسبانية التاسعة والعشرون عن بعد بعيدهم الوطني.

وترأس هذا الاحتفال قائد قوة اليونيفيل ، الجنرال ستيفانو ديل كول ، الذي رافقه قائد القطاع الشرقي لليونيفيل ، العميد الإسباني خوسيه لويس سانشيز مارتينيز-فاليرو. وحضر الحفل أيضاً السفير الإسباني في لبنان ، السيد خوسيه ماريا فيري دي لا بينيا ، والسفير البابوي في لبنان والعديد من السلطات المحلية (المدنية والعسكرية والدينية اللبنانية).

خلال الحفل ، وبمجرد أن تلقى الجنرال ديل كول التحية الرسمية واستعرض الوحدات المختلفة ، شرع في رفع الأعلام ، على وقع عزف الأناشيد الخاصة بالتتالي.

وبعد ذلك ، تم تقليد الأوسمة من قبل قائد القوة الى قادة الوحدات ، والضباط الأكثر تميزا" من مختلف الوحدات. بالتوالي ، قام الجنرال مارتينيز-فاليرو ، قائد الكتيبة الاسبانية BRILIB XXIX ، بتقليد الأوسمة لمختلف قادة الفرق. وبالمثل ، فعل قائد قطاع جنوب الليطاني في الجيش اللبناني العميد الركن روبير العلم ، الذي قام بتقليد الاوسمة لمجموعة أخرى من القادة. وأخيرا" ، وباسم رؤساء الوحدات المختلفة ، مُنحت ميدالية اليونيفيل للعاملين تحت قيادتهم.

في وقت لاحق ، وبعد خطاب قائد قوات اليونيفيل الذي سلط الضوء فيه على العمل الذي يقوم به اعضاء الكتيبة الاسبانية BRILIB XXIX للمساهمة في حفظ السلام والاستقرار في جنوب لبنان ، توجه الجنرال مارتينيز-فاليرو للحضور بخطاب اشار فيه إلى ذكرى العيد الوطني الاسباني ، وحث الجميع على الاستمرار في نفس الخط من التفاني والعمل لتنفيذ مهامهم على افضل وجه في هذا القسم الأخير من فترة خدمة هذه الكتيبة ، كما وقدم التهنئة لافراد الكتيبة الإسبانية بمناسبة العيد الوطني، وعزف النشيد الوطني الاسباني.

ثم ، انتهى الحفل بإستعراض القوات في عرض عسكري أمام السلطات والضيوف.

En la explanada “Don Quijote” de la Base “Miguel de Cervantes” se ha celebrado la ceremonia militar de imposición de las medallas de la misión de UNIFIL (Medal Parade) al vigésimo noveno contingente de la Brigada española en el Líbano y a personal de los contingentes serbio, salvadoreño y brasileño. Al mismo tiempo los componentes de la BRILIB XXIX celebraban en la distancia el día de la Fiesta Nacional

El acto fue presidido por el Force Commander de UNIFIL, Major General Stefano del Col, al que acompañó el Jefe del Sector Este de UNIFIL, el general de brigada español José Luis Sánchez Martínez-Falero. Además estuvieron presentes el embajador español en Líbano D. José María Ferré de la Peña, el Nuncio Apostólico en el Líbano y numerosas autoridades locales (civiles, militares y religiosas de las diferentes confesiones del país).

Durante el acto, una vez que el general del Col recibió los honores reglamentarios y pasó revista a las Unidades formadas, se procedió al izado de las Banderas, al son de sus respectivos himnos.

A continuación, tuvo lugar la imposición de las condecoraciones por parte del Force Commander, a los Jefes de Unidad y oficiales más caracterizados de los distintos contingentes. Tras esto el General Martínez-Falero, Jefe de la BRILIB XXIX, impuso las condecoraciones a diversos mandos del Contingente. Así mismo el general jefe del sector sur del rio litani de las Fuerzas Armadas Libanesas (LAF), general Robert Al Alam, hizo lo propio con otro grupo de Mandos. Finalmente y por parte de los Jefes de las distintas Unidades se impuso la medalla de UNIFIL al personal bajo su mando.

Posteriormente y tras la alocución del Force Commander en la que destacó el trabajo realizado por los componentes de la BRILIB XXIX para contribuir a la paz y la estabilidad en el Sur del Líbano, el General Martínez-Falero se dirigió a los asistentes recordando la efeméride del día de la Fiesta Nacional y exhortando a todos a continuar en la misma línea de dedicación y trabajo en este último tramo de la misión, antes de felicitar a todos los que integran el contingente español, antes de la interpretación del Himno Nacional

A continuación y con el desfile de las tropas en formación ante las autoridades e invitados, se dio por finalizado el acto militar.

In the esplanade "Don Quixote" of the "Miguel de Cervantes" Base has been held the military ceremony of imposing the medals of the mission of UNIFIL (Medal Parade) to the twenty-ninth contingent of the Spanish Brigade in Lebanon and personnel of the Serbian, Salvadoran and Brazilian contingents. At the same time the components of the BRILIB XXIX celebrated in the distance the Spanish National Day.

The act was chaired by the Force Commander of UNIFIL, Major General Stefano del Col, who was accompanied by the Chief of the Sector East of UNIFIL, the Spanish Brigadier General José Luis Sánchez Martínez-Falero. Also present were the Spanish Ambassador in Lebanon, Mr. José María Ferré de la Peña, the Apostolic Nuncio in Lebanon and numerous local authorities (civilian, military and religious of the different confessions of the country).

During the ceremony, once the general of the Col received the statutory honors and reviewed the formed Units, proceeded to hoist the Flags, to the sound of their respective anthems.

Next, the imposition of the decorations by the Force Commander, the Heads of Unit and more characterized officers of the different contingents took place. After this, General Martínez-Falero, Chief of BRILIB XXIX, imposed the decorations to various commanders of the Contingent. Likewise, the chief general of the southern sector of the Litani in the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), General Robert Al Alam, did the same with another group of Commanders. Finally, and on behalf of the Heads of the different Units, the UNIFIL medal was awarded to the personnel under their command.

Later and after the Force Commander speech in which he highlighted the work done by the components of BRILIB XXIX to contribute to peace and stability in South Lebanon, General Martínez-Falero addressed the attendees, recalling the anniversary of the Day of the National Holiday and exhorting all to continue in the same line of dedication and work in this last section of the mission, before congratulating all those who make up the Spanish contingent, before the interpretation of the National Anthem

Then, with the parade of the troops in formation before the authorities and guests, the military act was ended.
