بعد وفاة المرحوم والدي (الدكتور حليم القسيس)، بدأت أفكر في طرق لتكريمه للدور الكبير الذي لعبه في حياتي كأب وصديق وكنموذج يحتذى به...

كان لديّ الكثير من الأفكار في البداية، ولكن الآن يمكنني أن أفكر فقط في واحدة!...

أشعر بالمسؤولية للمضي قدما في ما بدأه والدي، وأنا أعلم أن لا شيء كان ليسره أكثر من العمل لتحسين الخيام.

في الآونة الأخيرة، سمعت الكثير من الشباب يشتكون من عدم وجود أنشطة في قريتنا... حسنا، أعتقد أنه ينبغي علينا نحن الشباب أن نتوقف عن توقع الأشياء من الآخرين، و ان نبدأ من أنفسنا... علينا أن نكون " التغيير الذي نريد أن نراه" في مجتمعنا...

لدي الكثير من الأفكار الجيدة، وأنا واثقة من ان كل واحد منكم لديه أفكار أكثر و أفضل. نحن بحاجة فقط لتحويل أفكارنا إلى أفعال... ونحن بحاجة للبدء في مرحلة ما...

آمل أن تشاركوا حماسي، ولنتذكر أنه إذا اعتمدنا على الآخرين وانتظرناهم ليتحركوا، قد ننتظر إلى الأبد...

لا يوجد أحد أفضل من أنفسنا نثق به ونعتمد عليه... فلنبدء من انفسنا...

After my father passed away, I started thinking of ways to honor him for the great role he played in my life as a father, a friend, a role model, an advisor…

I had lots of ideas at first, but now I can only think of one…

I feel responsible to carry on with what he has started and I know that nothing would have ever pleased him more than working for a better Khiyam.

Lately, I have heard lots of young people complaining about the lack of activities in our village…Well, I think that we should stop expecting things from others and start with ourselves…WE need to “be the change we want to see” in our village.

I have lots of good ideas, and I am sure every one of you has even more better ideas. We just need to change our ideas to actions…We need to start at some point…

I hope that you will share my enthusiasm, and keep in mind that if you are waiting for others, you might wait forever…There is no one better than ourselves to trust, so START WITH YOURSELF…
